Hey look, Lee and me
Photo of Lee Allis-Hayes and myself at the World Usability Day event at the MSU Union Building. The photo linked to above was taken by Betsy Weber. Betsy is the “Chief Evangelist” at TechSmith. I think that’s a fun title. It’s not just a job—it’s a calling. Lee, also from TechSmith, and I seem to…

[mutter]
You know when you have those moments when you have a rush of thoughts and ideas that go so fast and there are a few that you really want to remember but when it’s all done there’s this mental let-down when you realize you lost them all?

Spam: debjesusislord
I keep getting this email called “People on the Move” from “debjesusislord”. I don’t know why I ever started getting it in the first place, and I surely hope that this seemingly ministry-oriented person isn’t knowingly running a spam-campaign. So, giving the benefit of the doubt, I tried sending emails to unsubscribe from the email…

Stop gun laws. Strengthen enforcement.
As a nationwide gun ban in Brazil is due for a vote, I’m left to wonder if the anti-gun movement is just simply off-target. I started thinking about this again because of an article I read from the Washington Post, which closed with the idea that…

I’m corn intolerant
Isn’t that a crazy thing to say? Anyway, I’ve had this reaction to some foods for years, and I’ve been trying to figure it out. Lots of different pizzas would cause problems for me, some pasta sauces and salsas. Other foods with some sort of sauce as well. So, I was thinking it might be…

Was able to connect with OS 10.2.8 to Win 2000 server using Active Directory authentication (Troubleshooting, continued)
I tried on my old standby Mac at home (an old G3 Blue and White running OS 10.2.8). I had to first connect to the MSU Virtual Private Network, but once I logged on to the VPN, I was able to Connect to Server and mount the volume I’ve been after. Now, to see if…

Comment troubles
In case you’re wondering, I realize this blog is having issues with TypeKey–so nobody can comment for now. I’ll get to it.
