Muggy, muggy, muggy
We are on a vacation of sorts up at my parents’ house in the Upper Peninsula. It is in Chassell Township near Michigan Tech University, for those who know. Anyway, the weather has been hot and muggy with frequent nightime rain. Yuck. Hopefully it dries out soon. I’ll post some pictures before too long.

Study suggests shift in methodology for web development is needed
A recent study mentioned by CyberAtlas (formerly NUA Internet Surveys), Errors Rampant on Gov’t sites, found that 68% of U.S. government web sites had web application failures. Of those with failures, 61% had technical errors and 7% had incorrect data errors. The report suggests that a large portion of other errors were user failure errors,…

Bumble won.
When Lila goes to take a nap, she usually fights it, sometimes never actually falling asleep. This time it looks like she got in a wrestling match with her fluffy bumblebee, and it won. You can’t see it so well, but she is holding both legs around her neck while sleeping.

This file is 680KB, so it may take a little time to load. (You also need Flash Player 6 to view it. You can get the free player at Macromedia.com.) You can imagine Chey’s reaction when I showed her this! 😉

Big sis’ coming through; Chey wrapping up the thesis!
Lisa, my older sister, came down and stayed with us for a little over a week. She helped take care of Lila while Chey was finishing up her Masters thesis. She was a tremendous help; I’m sure that Chey would not have her completed draft (80 some pages, not including appendices) had it not been…

Lila and Ethan at Johnny Rockets
We comb Lila’s hair. Really. To no avail. Also, note the devotion with which Ethan sucks down his drink. Or maybe it’s brain-freeze, I’m not sure.

xsl to tranform xhtml pages
I don’t know why it took me this long to realize this. I’ve been writing xhtml for a couple years now, and around the same time I started playing with xsl stylesheets, but it just occurred to me in a real way that I can probably use xslt to transform my xhtml pages (at my…
