I was reading Fox in Socks to Lila and she was counting everything in the book. When she finished counting all the fish on one page, I explained to her that a group of fish is called a “school of fish.”
She repeated the phrase. Her eyebrows tightened a little, looking the picture over again.
“Where is the teacher of the fish?” she asked.
“I do not know,” was my reply.
“Me either,” was hers.
